Hi Shoppers! I must apologize for not posting as much as I would like lately. I have been tied up with the Holidays (as I am sure you all have been) and recreating the new look for my blog. After much debate, I finally decided on a design.  Let me tell you, trying to find just the right one is a lot of work!  I love WordPress and how easy it is to customize. I have learned so much about coding and design even though I am new to it. I went with the Mimbo theme by Darren Hoyt, which I found to be extremely easy and fun to work with.

It has been a challenge trying to get everything to work right with the plugins. I have found some great plugins which I will share in a later post. The WP community has so many talented people working to design such great plugins and themes, it is wonderful. I am glad I moved my blog over from Blogger.

I have added two new sections to the blog, an advertising and guest section. I am really excited about running a contest for free advertising and a cash prize in the New Year. I will need to work out the details for the contest rules and I plan to do a contest within the next week or two. Stay tuned and be sure to subscribe!

We have decided to open up ShopLikeUs for other shoppers to share their experiences with products or merchants and to be part of our blog. I want to present different flavors of writers for ShopLikeUs readers, so your not always reading my views and opinions. If you like to learn more please visit the guest section for details.

I hope you enjoy the new look and I would love to read your thoughts and opinions, either good or bad! I would like to also give a personal thanks to my wife who has heard my whining over the last couple weeks while I starting working on the design.
